Unlike the medium-density fiberboard (MDF), which is a common baffle material, it is made of high-quality wood layered in multiple layers, making it resistant to disintegration when wet and durable. Also, applying clear varnish results in a beautiful wood grain, so it is used for high-quality speakers and furniture.
