One depicts the distillery building, and the other depicts a mountain thought to be Mount Asama and trees. • The Karuizawa Distillery was established by Sanraku Ocean Co., Ltd. (later absorbed by Mercian) and produced whiskey until it closed in 2000. Currently, the whiskey from this distillery is extremely rare and has become a collector's item. These coasters are collector's items that tell a historical part of rare Japanese whiskey.
