This is a sky-blue jade pendant engraved with a flowing, colored crest. The jade has a Chinoiserie design with openwork carving. Due to the intricate craftsmanship, the jade is likely recrystallized. Chinoiserie is a term derived from French, meaning "Chinese style." Around the 17th century, Chinese-inspired designs in decorations, accessories, gardens, and furniture were popular in Europe, and the general term for these was Chinoiserie.
