This is a Suwa-tou (Swatow) embroidered obi (sash). A very rare item of Suwa-tou embroidery, one of China's three major embroideries. Width: Approximately 31cm Length: Approximately 472cm Made of silk, the overall color is a softer version of ocher. It may seem plain, but the subtle pale orange and the indescribable nuanced colors are beautiful. *The third photo is a remnant of the fabric. Purchased as a reused item (the reason being that it has been in someone else's hands once). I fell in love with it and bought it, but... I have never worn it. I haven't even tried it on. So it is still a new, unused item. I haven't had a chance to wear it, and I thought it would deteriorate if I just kept it stored, so I'm reluctantly putting it up for sale. I have stored it folded and out of direct sunlight, so there are only slight fold wrinkles, but there are no sunspots, stains, or dirt, and since it hasn't been worn, there are no tying marks or creases from dressing. #Kimono #Obi #Swatow #Suwa-tou #Unused
