Menuki (sword fitting) - Lion - Shakudo (copper alloy) - Edo Period Processed into a tie clip. Those with an eye for such things will recognize its value as a genuine menuki, not a modern reproduction. The gold on the back is currently very valuable in itself. (There is a K18 hallmark on the clasp on the back, but the metal of the other parts (catch and pin, etc.) is unknown.) It would make a great gift for someone overseas.
