37A Vintage This is the origin of ARIA's original guitars, a model that demonstrated the high quality of Japanese-made guitars to the world: the PE. PE stands for Pro Electric. It is famous for being used by renowned guitarists such as Kazumi Watanabe, Masaki Matsubara, Jail Ohashi, Masaharu Fukuyama, and Kenichi Asai. The PE-1100 was the highest grade in the catalog at the time, and it's one of the models that rarely appears. This particular guitar comes from a PE series collector. It features a laminated structure body with a maple top & back sandwiching mahogany. Both the top and back are carved with a sophisticated curved-top design. It's lightweight and fits the body perfectly. The sound also shows the best response from low to high frequencies, with a thick and sharp character. The neck is straight, and the truss rod has more than one full turn of adjustment remaining. There is paint cracking at the base of the neck, scratches on the body, and sap coming from the mahogany.
