This is a coin case made entirely by hand-stitching using oil leather. The leather used is Rambler from Charles F. Stead (UK), a company famous for its suede. (The stamped part is Horsebutt, black with a brown core) This is chrome-tanned leather finished with natural wax for an antique feel. The surface has a matte finish, and you can enjoy the antique atmosphere with its grain lines and unevenness. Since the flesh side is treated like suede, the entire piece is made from leather approximately 2.5mm thick. Regarding aging, as it is chrome-tanned leather, there will be no change in the leather itself, but you can use it without worrying about water as you would with vegetable-tanned leather.
