Born in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture in 1925. Ordained at Kosei-ji Temple in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture in 1935. Graduated from Otani University in 1951. Entered the training hall of Nanzen-ji Temple and practiced Zen meditation under the guidance of Zen master Zenkei Shibayama. Appointed as the chief priest of Dojyu-in, a sub-temple of Tofuku-ji Temple in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City in 1974. These items are unused, but please understand that they have been displayed and stored in the shop for a long time. As this was a small tea shop in town, some outer boxes may have age-related stains.
