The "Ghost" series is a classic road running shoe from BROOKS, a popular model that has won numerous awards since its inception. The "Ghost 14," the 14th generation, has become a special model. What's so special about it? It's the first carbon-neutral shoe from BROOKS. Specifically, at least 30% of the upper material is made from recycled polyester, and 100% is used for the top liner of the insole, the lining of the tongue, and the reinforcement of the toe box. Of course, it looks no different. Let's take a look at the shoes. The upper is a 2-layer engineered mesh. 3D Fit Print is used for reinforcement. It's more flexible and lighter than the previous "Ghost 13." The width is generous, so most people shouldn't feel it's too tight. The heel counter has a solid built-in structure. The shoelaces have been changed from the round laces of the previous model to flat laces, which have less elasticity and can be tightened securely. The stack height is 24mm in the forefoot, 36mm in the heel, and the drop is 12mm. The midsole of the previous model was a combination of BioMoGo DNA and DNA Loft, but the "Ghost 14" uses DNA Loft throughout. The features of DNA Loft are improved cushioning and weight reduction by blending air into the EVA foam. Furthermore, the durability is improved by blending rubber. The outsole is firmly attached over almost the entire surface, but grooves are visible in various places to improve flexibility.
