This is a namasu dish I purchased at an antique market. It features a very detailed, finely-crafted arabesque pattern. You don't often see pieces this meticulously made. The round window in the center depicts pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms (shochikubai). The balance of negative space with the window frame is excellent. The window frame has a shihou tasuki (four-direction sash) pattern. The body of the dish appears to be arabesque, but there are also small flowers. They are drawn in a size that provides a good visual impact. The foot rim is a snake-eye design, and the inscription reads "Fukichojun" (wealth, honor, and longevity). Overall, there is crazing throughout. It's amateur work, but a fine piece. Otherwise, there appear to be no major noticeable flaws. Please examine the images carefully. Size: Approximately 14 cm wide Approximately 3.2 cm high
