Their sound, described as surf rock, has a comfortable sense of speed, like the wind blowing in through the windows of a car speeding along a summer beach, yet with a solid performance that seems to be influenced by hard rock, and is filled with positive melodies that make you imagine a coastline where the sun shines brightly, just like the band's name. The vocals of James sometimes sound so pathetic that you want to say, "Hey, are you okay!?", but that contrasts perfectly with Silver Sun's unique, thick sound, making the songs even more attractive. I've written a lot, but the songs are really good! From the moment you put the disc in the player and hear the edgy guitar of the first song, "Golden Skin," a magical pop world unfolds without a moment's hesitation. And what sets them apart from the many other guitar pop bands is their ability to skillfully incorporate the laid-back, solid groove of songs like "Far Out" and "Yellow Light," which have a comfortable, swaying feel. Especially the flow from "Yellow Light," which evokes a touch of loneliness at the end of summer, to "Lava," which accelerates rapidly with noisy guitars, and then to "2 Digits," which slows down again and showcases beautiful chorus work, is the best. And this album, which has a perfect composition that flows beautifully throughout, not just in key places, is amazing. Frankly, the jacket is unbelievably lame (lol), but it's a shame to avoid it just for that; it's a great masterpiece album.
