Playback, fast forward, and rewind functions work. The drive rubber belt has been replaced with a new one. Recording is not recommended as the switch for recording and playback is not working well. Frankly, the sound quality is as expected. The speakers are not very large, but the sound is crisp. If the playback sound becomes muffled after recording, try inserting a tape without the tabs broken and pressing the record button, then stopping it multiple times. Comes with a power cable, so it's ready to use immediately.
