These shoes feature a GORE-TEX membrane for excellent waterproof and breathable performance, and a Vibram sole known for its grip. They are suitable for a wide range of activities, from light trekking to traversing mountain ridges. These are highly accomplished hiking boots, capable of handling most mountains with just this one pair. The Teton model uses a last that is better suited for Japanese feet, with a wider width and a thicker instep, making them very comfortable to wear. I purchased these several years ago, but I haven't used them heavily and have cleaned them regularly. There are no scuffs, scratches, or sole wear, and there is no significant damage. While there is a sense of use, I believe they are still in good condition and can be worn for a long time.
