This is a lid that was placed on top of soba noodle bowls when delivering food in the Showa 40s (1965-1974). They stopped being used after the invention of plastic wrap, so there are many left. They were made in Japan a long time ago, so the craftsmanship is excellent. There are some areas where the paint is slightly chipped. See photo ⑤. Use it simply when it's a hassle to use plastic wrap. ※This is only the lid; the bowl in the photo is not included.
