To commemorate the Mercari listing, we are selling the [Enhanced Version] with three underwater resistance plates, which was originally planned as an optional specification (+300 yen), at the same price. ▪️Feature ① Manual type that activates by matching This is not an auto-type yaen that automatically achieves the "muko-awase" often mentioned in the yaen industry, but a manual-type yaen where the angler themselves actively matches and stabs. Unlike conventional yaen, which rely heavily on luck as to whether the yaen will hook the squid, this yaen allows you to fully enjoy the fun of a solid match. ▪️Feature ② Autumn Aori Squid Limited Edition Uses 0.8mm stainless steel spring wire for the main shaft and 0.6mm stainless steel spring wire for the hook part. It does not have the strength of commercially available yaen, and the forward speed is also slow. On the other hand, because it is finished as an ultra-lightweight yaen with an average weight of around 7g, it is possible to approach the Aori squid without making them wary. It performs best, especially for autumn Aori squid, which have less power. Optimal Aori squid size: Approximately 150-700g ※In field tests in the fall of 2025, we caught an 820g Aori squid. There was no problem with the fight until netting, but the hook tip bent slightly. It was fixed by reshaping it with my fingers on the spot, but I think it's best to use it up to about 700g. If you use it for spring squid, the hook tip will bend greatly, and there is a high possibility of losing the squid. ▪️Feature ③ All Handmade Each piece is handmade from the hook tip to the tail, and because of the many manufacturing processes, there are variations in quality due to individual differences such as scratches from tools and solder marks. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.
