My family purchased this about 20 years ago and used it about 3 times. It has been on display ever since. The rubber cover on the tip of the rod has deteriorated, but there is no noticeable deterioration (stickiness) on the cushioned part of the handle. There are some scratches. There is no case or wire. I am careful about storage, but there is a smoker in the house. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about details regarding the product, packaging, or shipping. I may delete the listing suddenly. I will pack it as compactly as possible. I may change the shipping method between Kuroneko Yamato and Japan Post.
