Purchased for about 10,000 yen at a solo exhibition about 3 years ago. Offered for sale to organize my collection. Height: 13 cm, Width: 12 cm Keisuke Hatanaka Born in Nagoya in 1977. He loved drawing from a young age and was familiar with art. He entered the Tokoname Ceramic Research Institute to work in pottery, where he could directly touch the materials with his hands. After graduating and becoming independent, he continued to work part-time at a restaurant while making pottery. He values his intuition above all else, saying, "I honestly fire everything I come up with." He divides his works into "cool" and "colorful" categories. The former is packed with speed and momentum, while the latter focuses on creating a world that seems to have jumped out of an anime. The fact that he constantly receives orders for tableware from chefs is proof that his work is pleasing to the eye, great for serving food, and enjoyable to use.
