Subsequently, some moved to famous kilns, and some became independent, inheriting the secrets of Nabeshima ware. Among them, the artisan Ichikawa family was permitted to use the Nabeshima family crest "Hollyhock Crest" mark as the head artisan, and produced works using the secret techniques of Nabeshima ware. This work is a beautiful, outstanding piece of Meiji Nabeshima ware, carefully depicting the "Nabeshima ware plum blossom pattern," with a three-legged form and a chirori-shaped spout.
