A gallery tray made by Barker & Ellis of England. The elegant oval surface is fully decorated with a Victorian-style pattern, and the sides are cut with openwork. It is made of silver plate (pure silver plating). It has a solid, refined, and weighty feel. "Barker & Ellis" is not so well-known in Japan, but it is a very popular workshop in its home country. The trays produced by this workshop often feature hand-cut openwork decorations, and the cuts on the slightly thicker sides from the surface have a unique dignity and presence that cannot be matched by others. ■ Size 395 x 275 mm ■ Condition There is some discoloration on the surface, appearing as a thin reddish-brown color along the decorations. There are also some minor scratches, tiny imperfections, and slight discoloration in some areas.
