This is a medium-weight linen of very good quality. (Wide width 140cm, made in Japan) I purchased this at a Nippori store this year that specializes in Japanese-made linen and cotton. It's sturdy, but the light color means it's somewhat see-through. Because it's wide width (140cm), I think it can be used for a wide range of purposes. It has not been pre-washed.
