The Type [HGU-4/P] aviator sunglasses, synonymous with pilot sunglasses. This model has been used by the US Air Force for many years. The straight "bayonet temple" is a feature of these glasses. By making the temples straight, you can easily put on and take off the sunglasses simply by inserting them straight into your ears, even while wearing a helmet or headset. In the event of a sudden impact, the sunglasses are designed to fly forward so that they don't come off and injure your eyes with broken glass.
