I obtained this item used. I confirmed the LED lights up and the remote responds to all buttons. I checked the basic functions on my SONY TV at home. I have not confirmed all functions. This is a remote control for a BD recorder, but I believe it should work for basic operations on a TV as well. I do not own a BD recorder, so I cannot confirm its functionality. This uses infrared to operate devices. This remote will not work if the device uses a radio wave remote control. Please confirm this before considering a purchase. Thank you for looking.
