The first time was on the day I missed her live performance due to being broke. Through the kindness of an acquaintance, she came out to the venue, and I met her for the first time. She kindly signed a record for me and even took a photo with me, the gentle Layla. Years later, we met again at an in-store event at the CD store where I worked. I was so excited!
