There are no identical items. ◇◇ Chrysanthemum Pattern ◇◇ The chrysanthemum pattern represents "longevity," "extended life," and "good health," as it was introduced from China during the Nara period as a medicinal herb. The radiating petals are likened to the sun, symbolizing "warding off evil," and as it is also used as the Imperial crest, it symbolizes "nobility," "refinement," and "mental and physical stability." ◇◇ Chinkin ◇◇ This is a highly skilled lacquerware decoration technique in which a design is carved onto the surface of the lacquerware, lacquer is applied to the carved grooves, and then gold powder or gold leaf is filled in and embedded. ◆ Please be aware of processing marks and age-related stains.
