I believe this item is from around the 1960s. It's a Mackinaw jacket from WOOLRICH, a long-established American wool brand. It features the classic black and red ombre check pattern with a sense of depth. The fabric is wool, but the inside is lined with cotton chamois cloth, providing a comfortable feel against the skin. The rounded collar has a chin strap, and the front has four snap-button flap patch pockets. Handwarmer pockets are placed between them. There's even a large hunting pocket-like pocket on the lower back. The cuffs have inner ribbing, making it a functional and warm piece. It's a valuable big size, but it doesn't feel overly bulky.
