Designed specifically for the Nikon Z6 and Z7, it allows for battery replacement, LCD screen opening/closing, operation of various buttons, and access to terminals even when attached to the MB-D15. The side plate is detachable. It can be removed with a hex wrench for weight reduction when not in use.
