Forty-six years ago (as of 2024), I established my own independent practice. At that time, I was alone, without a partner, but over the years, I have built a team of architects and engineers who work with me on projects in Japan and overseas. There are numerous projects in Japan not included in this book. During the editing process, I realized that the essence of my work lies in the overseas projects, where I encountered unusual situations and struggled to overcome them. These challenges and their resulting end-products are what I wish to convey to the world through this book.
