This is made of genuine silk and has a sheen. The type that uses "kohaze" (clasps) made of natural ivory is a traditional style that makes the movements look beautiful. We don't sell these anymore as they are labor-intensive. It features a fan-shaped embroidery composed of orange, yellow, and white threads. This design is called "Kiku Seigaiha" (Chrysanthemum Seigaiha), which is a traditional "Seigaiha" (waves) pattern made by overlapping semi-circles, but stylized to resemble a chrysanthemum. It is considered auspicious. I purchased this at a tea ceremony specialty store and have stored it for a long time. There are stains inside, so please check the images. Thank you for looking.
