Recently, when I turned it on for the first time in a while, the lamp flashed on briefly but then went out immediately. I checked the internal fuse and found that it was blown. I replaced it with a spare fuse and tried again, but the fuse turned black instantly and did not work. I have not attempted to power it on further, considering the potential for internal damage.
