ALFENIDE is the grade of silver plate now called Christofle Silver, and apart from the stamp, it is identical to current Christofle Silver in terms of shape, plating thickness, etc. ALFENIDE was a company that developed silver plating, and it became part of Christofle in 1888. For many years, they were produced as Christofle with the ALFENIDE stamp. They were mainly for the French domestic market, so they are not often seen in Japan. These are antique items.
