This item is from about 20 years ago. There's a hole at the bottom, so it can be attached to a pencil. I don't remember if it's an eraser, so I'll have to rub it to find out. There are noticeable stains on the head of Oddish and the belly of Charizard. It's been stored unused, but it's old, so there is some deterioration over time.
