This is a long bag for a medium-neck (chū-zao) shamisen or a thin-neck (hosozão) shamisen. It was made from a disassembled and washed vintage furisode (long-sleeved kimono). There are no stains or sun damage, but it has a retro feel. There are a few small white dots that appear to be markings. The base color is vermilion. The first and second photos are the closest representation of the color. It is not red. The lining is unused pink hakke-ji (kimono lining fabric). Both the outer and inner fabrics are silk. This is a handmade item created by an amateur as a hobby, so thank you for your understanding.
