Ancient Chinese bronze hardware. Though small, the intricate patterns and openwork are beautiful and meticulously crafted, showcasing the skill of ancient Chinese artisans. While the original use is unknown, I suspect it was hardware attached to the end of a belt. It is made of bronze, but there is no verdigris and it is clean. There is a crack on the side (image 5) and a partial chip in the openwork (image 6), but considering it is approximately 2,000 years old, it is in remarkably good condition. The size is 3.6 x 2.5 cm, and the thickness is about 0.6 cm. I believe this is a very fine piece, so how about it for those who appreciate ancient Chinese art and artifacts?
