This dress was made from a kimono I purchased, after a regular antique dealer in Kyoto said, "You don't see this kind of beautiful tsumugi (pongee) silk very often anymore." When you look closely, it has a subtle luster and is a very elegant tsumugi. As an artist, I feel the weave is reminiscent of Impressionist paintings. □Size: L Model height: 165cm Length: 114cm Width: 57cm Sleeve length: 50cm □I wondered what kind of Western-style garment to remake this wonderful tsumugi into, and decided on a popular front-opening dress that uses a lot of fabric. □As shown in the photos, it's also lovely worn as a long jacket with all the buttons undone. It's a design that can be worn in many situations, from autumn to early winter, and into early spring. □The sleeves are about 9/10 length. It has pockets in the side seams. This piece is made by piecing together more than 10 parts. Gathers are gathered from the high waist on both the front and back. There are 8 buttons. You can wear it as a pullover if you unbutton the top one. □The material is silk. To preserve the texture of this beautiful tsumugi, we recommend leaving the care to a dry cleaner if possible.
