You can select the operating mode with the Wah/Vol/W&V switch. You can also adjust the wah sound with the Q control on the side. ・Wah: This mode uses only the wah effect. The wah effect has two more modes that can be selected with the Sensor/Switch switch. 1. In Sensor mode, the wah effect turns ON when you step on the pedal and OFF when you lift your foot. 2. In Switch mode, the wah effect turns ON/OFF by strongly stepping on the pedal, which is a traditional style. ・Vol: This mode uses only the volume pedal. In this mode, it always works as a volume pedal. The volume is at the minimum when the pedal is in the heel-down position and at the maximum when the pedal is in the toe-down position. The minimum volume can be adjusted from 0 to 50% with the Min Vol control on the side. ・W&V: This mode uses both wah and volume pedals. It normally works as a volume pedal, and you can turn the wah effect ON/OFF by stepping on the pedal. The Sensor/Switch switch is disabled in this mode. When the Free Step is operating as a volume pedal, the LED lights up blue.
