When I bought them, they had a suede-like finish. However, I've taken great care of them using products like Collonil leather wax, referencing the Backcountry Hodaka guide. They've developed a much better character than the Timberlands I used to own. The size is USA 8, but I'd say they're closer to 26.5cm in terms of fit.
