In 1967, he studied under Japanese painter Kazuo Kakurai. Graduated from Musashino Art University, specializing in Japanese painting, in 1970. First exhibited and selected for the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition) in 1974, and continued to exhibit until the age of 50. Received the Encouragement Prize at the Nichiharu Exhibition in 1987, and the Tokusen (Special Selection) at the Nitten. Invited to exhibit at the Agency for Cultural Affairs Contemporary Art Selection Exhibition in 1988 (nationwide tour). Invited to exhibit at the Tokyo Central Museum Exhibition. Received the Nichiharu Prize at the Nichiharu Exhibition in 1989. Since then, he has exhibited in many exhibitions and held many solo exhibitions.
