This is a rare, made-in-Japan Epiphone LPS-85, commonly known as the "Gibson Head" model. With a headstock shape reminiscent of the original Gibson and the reliable craftsmanship of Fujigen, this guitar still enjoys high popularity today. It has been a companion that has been active in live performances for many years, and it is a player's condition that tells its history, but it can still be used as a ready-to-play instrument. Guitar Condition and Features • Purchase Date: 2000 • Appearance: Due to frequent use in live performances, there are many dents and sticker marks on the body. The metal parts show signs of aging. • Player's Condition: Although there is a sense of use on the exterior, there are no problems with playability. • Pickups: The rear pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SH-5 (Duncan Custom). It delivers a powerful and clear sound, suitable for a wide range of genres from rock to hard rock. • Strap Pins: Replaced with Schaller locking pins. • Nut: The nut has been replaced with a bone nut. Sustain and resonance have been improved, allowing you to enjoy a richer sound. • Tuners: There is a slight bend in the 3rd string tuner, but it does not affect tuning. About the LPS-85 This LPS-85 is a model manufactured at the Fujigen factory in Japan around 1998-2002, and it is also highly regarded as a "Japan Vintage" due to its high quality. In particular, the biggest feature is that it has the same "open book headstock" as the original Gibson, which sets it apart from current Epiphone models. As it has been a guitar that has been with me for many years, I would be happy to sell it to someone who will cherish it.
