The cartridges are the same type as the pot type and are compatible. It's large, so you can filter a lot of water at once! I used it for about two weeks, but I'm selling it because I switched to a smaller capacity one. I don't think there are any noticeable scratches. The bottle type has been opened once, but it's unused.
