This is a handmade laptop case, remade from an obi (Japanese traditional sash). I made it by mimicking the shape and size of a commercially available case that my family member found easy to use. It's sized to perfectly fit a MacBook Air, as well as compact laptops like Chromebooks. A pocket is included under the flap to carry a mouse and charger. The flap closes with Velcro. You can carry it on its own or use it as a bag-in-bag. To protect against impact, I've used quilt batting on both sides to provide cushioning. I've made similar items like backpacks in the past, so I think the construction is relatively sturdy. Each item is unique, so I think it has a wonderful, one-of-a-kind design.
