The rim and handle have a lovely pink trim. The purple of the thistle flower and this pink trim harmonize, giving a lively impression of the thistle. There are many episodes related to the thistle. In Greek mythology, it is said that the earth goddess, who fell in love with the shepherd Daphnis, bloomed thistles after being heartbroken. In Scotland, when the Norwegian army invaded, they stepped on thistles and cried out, causing Scotland to notice the invasion and defend the country. That's why it became the national flower. Therefore, in the UK, it seems that every brand has a thistle design.
