This is a bisque doll made in 1978 by Sankyo (三協精機), a long-established Japanese manufacturer. It is a piece from an antique reproduction series manufactured in the 1970s, with "1978 / Made in Japan / SANKYO" engraved on the back. This high-quality line was also exported to Europe and is known for its excellent craftsmanship and coloring among Japanese-made dolls of the time. The face and hands and feet are made of porcelain (bisque), featuring a fine texture and natural cheek coloring. The eyes are fixed glass eyes, and the deep brown color gives a calm expression. The hair is a brown wig with soft curls that gives an elegant impression. The outfit consists of an off-white cotton dress layered with a lace apron, and drawers and leather-style shoes. The delicate lace decorations are beautiful, creating a classical atmosphere reminiscent of early 1900s Europe. There are some age-related darkening and stains on the sleeves and hem, but the bisque parts are in good condition without any cracks or chips. With a total length of approximately 45cm, a width of 22cm, and a depth of 9cm, it is an easy-to-display size.
