This is an old Imari soba choko (small bowl for soba noodles) with a yoraku (garland) pattern. The most distinctive feature of this piece is, without a doubt, the sometsuke (blue and white underglaze). It's as if a modern high school girl drew the yoraku pattern with a pen. I collect yoraku patterns and this piece is the only one I have with this kind of feel. I sometimes imagine that it was ahead of its time, as if it predicted the modern era! A very rare piece.
