In the Showa era, yellow was often used for cotton carp streamers made in various regions. Following this tradition, these are hand-dyed on yellow cotton fabric as Hiroshige carp streamers of Edo. While mass-produced nylon and polyester carp streamers are the mainstream today, we hope you can celebrate the May Festival with these hand-painted cotton carp streamers like the Hiroshige ones.
