It has a preamp gain of 50dB and a good S/N ratio, so I used it with a Shure SM7B dynamic microphone. You need to install drivers. I was using it on a Mac with macOS Mojave, but I switched to an M1 model and it stopped working, so I'm getting rid of it. I don't know about the Windows environment. There is a little scratchiness on the knobs, but no noise if you don't touch them. The exterior has some scratches.
