De CROISMARE Vitrification" Glass Lamp A valuable Art Deco salon lamp by the Muller Freres, renowned as a masterpiece of interior lighting decoration from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. The Muller brothers, originally from the Moselle region on the French-German border, honed their glassmaking skills under Gallé after evacuating during the Franco-Prussian War. They became masters of Art Nouveau glass, and this lamp utilizes vitrification colored glass, which they focused on producing from the 1910s to the 1920s. This work bears the manufacturing workshop brand of the Muller brothers, G.V. De CROISMARE "Croismare." The decorative design and colors are lovely. There is a repair mark on the shade mounting, but it has been thoroughly filled with putty. It is completely unnoticeable when installed. The signature, the (acid-etched) signature of the Muller manufacturing workshop brand "GV De CROISMARE" from around 1920, can be seen on the shade. This is a desk lamp by the Muller brothers. Rare "Croismare" item. A 25W B22D bulb will be included. The base frame is made of bronze/brass.
