This is a display item from a shop owned by an acquaintance. I received it as a gift. Although it was a display item, there are no noticeable scratches. It's a wooden glass case in a karin (Chinese quince) wood color. The front door is beveled glass. The kimono on the hagoita (decorative paddle) displays the patterns of two kimonos. The vermilion ground features a painting of mandarin ducks. The board is lacquered. Velcro is attached to the bottom and back of the hagoita, allowing it to be removed. The kanzashi (hair ornaments) are made of genuine boxwood, and the oke (tub) features real gold makie (lacquer work). I think it's a very nice hagoita decoration.
