As a hobby, I carved a cute, approximately 9.5cm tall, palm-sized original Kannon statue from Kiso Hinoki cypress. She holds a lotus bud in her left hand. I haven't used sandpaper or the like, so I think it has a unique texture from the carving knife marks.
