This is a glass-tipped reel-type smelt rod. The total length is 53cm, and the closed length is 30cm. It can handle sinkers from 1 to 3 go for the black tip and 3 to 5 go for the red tip. One rod tip can be stored at hand. The other one is stored in a dedicated case. The reel seat uses FS-5 (Fuji). The handle is made of Hotei bamboo, and the butt (ishizuki) is black buffalo horn. It was made with the assumption of fishing in heated places such as dome boats, so small guides are used. Therefore, when fishing outdoors on ice, there is a risk that ice attached to the guide holes will freeze and the line will not come out. The paint is all finished with real lacquer.
