This region is now called Vakka-Suomi, or Vakka Finland. In the past, it was used as a box for storing grains. It was also used as a container to offer food to the god of thunder during festivals. Nowadays, it is used for various purposes, such as storing bread, sweets, or sewing tools, depending on the individual. This shaker box is handmade at a traditional crafts museum and treated with linseed oil. Each piece is handmade, so there may be minor scratches that are believed to have occurred during manufacturing. It has been displayed on a shelf. Although nothing was placed inside, it is an item with a unique atmosphere just by being placed. I believe I purchased it about three years ago.
